The UK’s first International Government-to-Government (G2G), Business-to-Business (B2B) & Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Halal Trade Show London Halal Expo 2022 has successfully concluded after welcoming thousands of people for two days, on December 2-3 at the ExCel Exhibition Center, London.
Britain is one of the most sophisticated and well-connected Muslim consumer populations in the world, the trade show has shown to host the opportunity among the sponsors, partners and exhibitors targeting the demographic of a £1.8 trillion globally diverse and untapped Halal market. This also expands across multiple sectors in serving the faith-inspired ethical needs of the world’s 1.9 billion Muslim consumers, creating trade, investment and networking opportunities.
Halal Expo London 2022 recorded more than 10,000 visitors and the successful participation of over 300 exhibitors and 50 national and international speakers. Among the exhibitors are retailers, distributors, wholesalers, food manufacturers, restaurants, caterers, travel agents and tour operators, banks and financial services providers from food & beverage, modest fashion, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, publishing, finance, wellbeing, travel and more. The Expo observed the participation from the international country pavilions and trade delegations from Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria and Pakistan.
Special remarks for Malaysia in this event was the first–ever Malaysia Showcase Pavilion in London hosted and organised by My Events International. The Malaysia Showcase in Halal Expo London provides a gateway to open new markets for the Halal industry in the UK and increase their export potential to support Malaysia’s National Recovery Plan. The showcase at a size of 100sq/m enabled the participation of 14 local companies aimed to inspire local Halal businesses in Malaysia to inspire Muslim business owners and entrepreneurs worldwide to strengthen and venture their businesses in the global market.
The highlight of the event was the Halal Economy Conference with a line–up of interactive activities such as panellist discussions, seminars and workshops by the industry leader and experts who shared their expertise and insights on the current trends and innovations with more than 100 participants.
The expo has concurrently launched the ‘London Modest Fashion Show’ bringing together the world’s biggest fashion brands and showcasing the latest trends and collections. Many activities and entertainment have been enjoyed by children and adults including free samplings of foods and drinks.
Halal Expo London has brought through the passion for realigning the true values of the global Halal economy by bridging the gap between the UK and the rest of the world. The event has included agendas on education, diversity, inclusion, sustainability and ethics as part of their core values.
