The Halal Executive National Convention 2022 (Persidangan Kebangsaan Eksekutif Halal) 2022 was successfully conducted on 29-30th November 2022 at Bangi Avenue Convention Centre by UNITI College & Uniti Halal Centre (UHAC), with Verify Halal appointed as the media partner to this event.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of UNITI College Port Dickson, Amir Hamzah Md. Isa, the convention has the main objective to provide a platform for all the participants to share ideas and exchange views, especially on the challenges in the Halal industry and issues on Halal certification matters.
“We have attracted about 200 Halal executives that are working in local and even overseas companies”, he said. He also added that this is also an initiative by a higher education institution to support the continuous effort by the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) and the states’ religious affairs departments.
The convention featured 20 experienced panelists among the government officers and agencies such as JAKIM, Ministry of Health, Selangor Islamic Religious Department, as well as from prominent private companies.
According to Ustaz Amri Halal, who is among the senior officers in Halal who initiated the Halal executive program, “From the first time Halal Executive program was introduced in 2008, we have never thought it could be evolved and impacted a lot to the development of Halal industry today.
“You could see the Halal executives today could also be a Halal consultant, trainer, facilitator, and even manager of a Halal department in the industry”, said Ustaz Amri who is also a TV celebrity and permanent moderator of RTM’s MyHalal program during an interview with Verify Halal team.
Verify Halal sincerely wishes for all Halal executives to continuously strive towards success and perform high-quality work that contributed positively towards the development of the Halal industry in Malaysia and globally.
