With the theme “New Era & New Normals: Necessity of Halal Production and Consumption’’, the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC) along with the Discover Events on behalf of the Islamic Centre for Development of Trade (ICDT) is organising the 7th World Halal Summit (WHS) from 25^th November to 27^th November 2021 in Istanbul concurrently with the 8th OIC Halal Expo.

This year, World Halal Summit (WHS) is designed as a versatile hybrid event with digital capabilities to bring together international academicians and fiqh specialists from around the world to discuss the most recent developments and updates in the Halal sector.

Being organised annually, WHS has grown into a premier international forum for the global Halal community to address and highlight issues related to the over $4 trillion-Halal market. 

In an effort to widen perspectives about the Halal industry, the event will focus on showcasing diverse topics representing growing Halal markets across the globe. These include long-established sectors such as food and beverage, education, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, personal care, and services. 

The more contemporary sectors comprise modest fashion, Islamic finance digitalisation, media and recreation, Muslim friendly travel, e-commerce, and food technology.

The Summit features a diverse agenda that includes keynote addresses, interactive panel sessions with Halal industry pioneers and other stakeholders to discuss challenges and possibilities, as well as scientific presentations and workshops. This international platform’s diverse discussion formats will provide lots of opportunities for Halal experts to exchange ideas.

WHS 2021 will be held in the form of conferences, seminars, panel discussions, and interactive experiences with Q&A sessions over three days, beginning with registration and the opening ceremony on the first day and continuing with the first two sessions after the keynote speakers’ speeches.
